Original! Berlin

Today, a demonstration of the visually impaired crossed my path. There were around 50 who marched across Alexanderplatz, always close together with their sticks. It was raining heavily. Later, they stood guard in front of the Rotes Rathaus with a coffin as a reminder to the government to let them keep their blindness allowance. That’s what the signs said. It was a small, quiet performance, but I have hence remembered it several times.
