BERLIN – Photographs 1979–2025

From 24 September to 27 November 2026, the group exhibition ‘BERLIN – Photographs 1979–2025’ at DAS FOTO IMAGE FACTORY (Wilhelmstraße 118, 10963 Berlin) presents a concentrated visual distillation of urban documentary photography. Curated by the Berlin-based photographer Christian Reister, the exhibition brings together four distinct artistic perspectives across 20 running metres. Alongside Reister’s own high-contrast night-time photographs, the exhibition features works by those who have influenced him and his contemporaries: Miron Zownir, Andreas Rost and Holger Biermann.

Rather than an academic chronicle, a subjective intergenerational dialogue unfolds, spanning from West Berlin in the late 1970s through the post-reunification era to the present day. The result is an unvarnished portrait of a city that is constantly rewriting itself. Opening on Friday, 18 September at 7 pm.
