Lichtenberg

Lichtenberg begins where my Berlin tours usually end: behind Ostkreuz. That’s where the great emptiness begins. I only meet a few people on the street here. The distances are great and there is a lot of room. I walk alone through the prefabricated housing estates as well as in allotment gardens or down private roads. On the outskirts of the city, Lichtenberg is all fields and villages. The pictures tell the story.
