New York Starter

It was September 11 that made me realize how short life can be. And it was the big city that told me that the best way to live it was to do what I liked. A solution would be found. For example, there was Julia, an acquaintance whose boyfriend worked as a cab driver. She now lived with him in a very small space and, in order to save space at home, always had one of her large suitcases circulating through Manhattan in his car. Whenever she needed something from it, she would call him. I laughed at first, but it worked. That was the beauty of New York.
