Was Bleibt

The “Was bleibt” („What Remains“) series brings together photographs from the years 2002 to 2010, most of which were taken while traveling – in the cities of Jerusalem, Marseille, New York, Paris, Rostock, Warsaw, Vienna, but also in Berlin and in the Czech countryside, in Jablonec, or in the woods near Syke, near Bremen. What unites all the pictures formally is the portrait format and the fact that they were taken in black and white. What unites them thematically is the traveler’s joy of discovery. In addition, they are photographs that initially simply did not fit into any series during editing in recent years. Hence the title.
